Robert B Reed, AIA - Principal
Robert grew up in the Puget Sound region and has been passionate about
architecture since his childhood days of building models and backyard tree
houses. He received his Bachelors of Arts in Architecture and his Master of
Architecture degree cum laude from the University of Washington where he
focused his studies on the exploration of living environments and the
creation of a sense of home and dwelling. While attending the University, he
received the National American Institute of Architects Scholastic Award for
exemplary academic achievement.
Robert gained broad professional experience with several distinguished
architecture firms in Seattle and Bellevue, prior to founding Robert Reed |
Architect in 2002. In addition to Robert's experience in management of an
architectural practice, his project experience includes the successful
completion of a wide range of project types including new custom homes,
residential remodels, condominiums, apartments, commercial and retail tenant
improvements. Robert's work has been featured in numerous publications and
has received design awards of distinction.
Robert brings strong communication and management skills to his roll as
designer and principal throughout all phases of design, documentation and
construction. He emphasizes a collaborative approach to problem solving and
meeting the needs and aspirations of each project and client.
Robert is a Registered Architect in the State of Washington, has served as a
guest critic at the University of Washington College of Architecture and
Urban Planning and has taught manual and computer drafting at ITT Technical
Institute. He is a member of the Seattle Chapter of the American Institute
of Architects, the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture and Allied
Arts and Mukilteo Presbyterian Church.
